Sidecar Special
Interviews • 12m
Having touched briefly on the new changes to the technical regulations coming into place this year during the recent launch show, Road to 2022, 17-time TT winner and sidecar legend, Dave Molyneux and passenger Daryl Gibson join Steve to go for a more in-depth conversation about how this will help futureproof the 3 wheel racing grid.
Molyneux has been testing his new machine for the last four years, and shares with Steve his passion to leave something behind for the sport he loves and his desire to help new teams get on to the ladder of a race that’s often overlooked.
Speaking of young blood coming through, Steve is joined by the brothers that burst onto the scene in 2019 with the fastest lap, Ryan and Callum Crowe. “Finish the race and always move forward” is how the boys feel going into 2022.
Continuing to keep it in the family, Steve is joined by the dominant duo, Ben and Tom Birchall. The brothers talk about taking time-off and how it’s actually helped them, although this year TT is full focus for the boys and it’s full steam ahead. Question is can they hit 120 this year?
