Thirty years on, Rob Fisher and Boyd Hutchinson look back on one of the most memorable Sidecar TT campaigns of the 1990s. Despite arriving at the Isle of Man as the team to beat, their week took a dramatic turn after a high-speed crash at May Hill during practice. Against the odds, the outfit was rebuilt in time for racing, thanks in part to help from rivals in the paddock, highlighting the spirit of camaraderie that has long defined sidecar racing.
Fisher and Hutchinson reflect on the crash, the recovery effort, the evolution of sidecar machinery, and the confidence that helped them overcome fierce competition on their way to victory. The pair also discuss returning to the Mountain Course for this years 1996 Rewind Parade, revisiting the memories and emotions of an era that helped shape modern Sidecar TT racing.
