This week we’re flipping the TT Podcast on its head as host Steve Plater takes a seat on the other side of the table for his interview with Chris Pritchard.
The retired racer and presenter on the TT’s television coverage talks to Chris about the late start he got in the world of motorbike racing and how his competitive edge took a while to kick in.
The TT winner also tells some of his trademark stories including tales of how he got his first team position, the bicycle crash that stopped him from attending his first practice night at Scunthorpe speedway and a close call he faced during a practice ride of the mountain course, in a hire car, with his wife.
As a man who’s taken on many different disciplines in his time, Steve talks about what it was like taking on everything from endurance racing to superbike laps and why it took a while before he was ready to take on the TT.
