This nail-bitingly close Senior TT Race saw the winning rider shatter Bruce Anstey’s outright lap record from the previous year’s Superbike Race with a sensational speed of 132.701mph, to take home his 23rd TT win, and seventh Senior Race victory.
After a relatively poor week, Honda Racing rider John McGuiness battled it out to try and win the final race of 2015, alongside James Hiller and Ian Hutchinson - who already had three races wins under his belt that week.
With fractions of seconds splitting the trio throughout the shortened four-lap race, and positions interchanging several times, it made it impossible to tell who was going to take it home.
In one astonishing lap, the first 11 riders all lapped in excess of 130mph providing fans lining the circuit with some of the best racing in the TT’s history. The eventual winner duly came home for his 23rd TT win – an astounding end to the 2015 races.
