Sidecar pros Klaus Klaffenbock and Daniel Sayle battled it out against last year’s winner Dave Molyneux and his partner Patrick Farrance at this Sidecar Race on the 5th June 2010.
Former World Champion Klaffenbock kept the pressure on throughout the race. However, he and Sayle were closely followed by John Holden and Andy Winkle, Molyneux, Simon Neary/Paul Knapton and ex-World Champion Tim Reeves and partner Dipash Chauhan – with just five seconds covering the five pairs in the first lap.
With several retirements later in the race, it soon became apparent that this was a battle of the titans between Klaffenbock and Molyneux, with the final winners coming home by just 2.63 seconds!
This thrilling and showstopping Sidecar Race, saw the winner take home not only his first win, but his first podium since entering the races years earlier. He was also the first competitor from his country to win a TT since 1954 – a hugely popular victory for the 2010 TT Races.
