The winning rider of this high-adrenaline RL360 Superstock Race joined a select group of TT riders to win two races in a day, dominating throughout to take the win by a victorious 26 seconds.
This superb race saw Peter Hickman and Dean Harrison go head-to-head in a bid to take the winner’s podium. A brilliant run over the Mountain and an opening lap of 132mph gave Hickman a healthy lead over the charging Harrison in the first lap.
Other strong contenders included James Hillier, Michael Dunlop, and David Johnson who was quickly moving up the leader board from fifth to third at the expense of several riders including Conor Cummins and Michael Rutter.
By the third lap Hickman and Harrison were still locking horns at the front, but Dunlop who was in third, was coming under considerable pressure from Johnson who eventually overhauled him, albeit by less than a second!
The epic finale saw the winner take the chequered flag to take a career total of five TT wins. Johnson eventually got the better of Dunlop, to take his maiden TT podium – by just 0.2 seconds!
