The rider of the 2016 Isle of Man TT Races, Ian Hutchinson, was locked in a three-way battle with Dean Harrison and James Hillier in this record breaking Superstock Race.
With an astonishing opening lap of 133.098mph, Bingley rider Hutchinson, blazed a trail from the off with Michael Dunlop and Gary Johnson in pursuit. It was close behind the leading trio though with James Hillier and Dean Harrison moving up the leader board as lap one wore on.
Ulsterman Dunlop soon encountered trouble, retiring in the pits, which meant Hutchinson and his Tyco BMW were flashing ahead. Meanwhile, the battle for second and third raged between Hillier and Harrison, with just over a second dividing them.
There was also an electrifying four-way battle for fourth with John McGuinness, Lee Johnston, Gary Johnson, and Michael Rutter all putting in remarkable performances.
The ensuing winner secured his 13th TT win, with the runner up clinching his spot by just a split second!
