2017 Superstock TT
34m
The winner made it three Superstock wins in a row in his second TT victory of the 2017 Isle of Man TT Races.
Michael Rutter led the opening lap, but only by one second from Ian Hutchinson who eventually inched ahead at Ballaugh, while the competition for third was hotting up between Peter Hickman and local man Dan Kneen.
The leading four riders flashed past the Grandstand - all lapping in excess of 130mph, with Kneen setting a new personal best lap.
By the second lap, Hutchinson and Hickman were at the front, seconds separating the pair, with Kneen in contention with Rutter for the final podium spot.
As the race progressed, Hutchinson was piling on the coals, all the while stretching his lead over Hickman, with Kneen in third. Several high-profile retirements ensued, but there was no drama at the front, where the winner took home the fastest lap of the race and his 16th TT win with a commanding 22 second margin.
There was joy for the Manx contingent as Kneen took home his maiden TT podium in a victorious third.
