2018 Supersport TT Race 2
32m
As he had done for most of the 2018 TT Races, Dean Harrison took the lead from the start, in another record-breaking race. He was up against strong competition though, with the likes of Michael Dunlop, Peter Hickman, and James Hillier in strong contention to take the second Monster Energy Supersport Race of the week.
In the first couple of laps, it was Harrison and Dunlop taking centre stage, with Harrison marginally leading. The pair were closely followed by Hillier and Hickman who had one win under his belt already. As they swept through the second circuit, the gap between the quartet was just seconds.
Drama struck when Dunlop picked up a pit lane penalty, which meant the final few laps became a two-way race to the finish line for Harrison and Hickman, with Hillier just a second and a half behind - keen to keep his position on the rostrum.
As the chequered flag fell, the winner picked up his second TT win, breaking the race record by 8.7 seconds in the process!
