2010 Superstock TT

One rider continued to dominate the 2010 Isle of Man TT Races in this four lap Superstock Race which saw his third win that week. The rider joined a handful of former racers that had accomplished the same feat.
Northern Irishman, Ryan Farquhar, set off the quickest, but only held a 0.24 second lead ahead of Michael Dunlop. Keith Amor, Ian Hutchinson, Conor Cummins, and Cameron Donald remained close, and in the first lap there was just a staggering 4.5 seconds between the top ten riders!
Farquhar remained the race leader for the majority but was caught up by Hutchinson who later smashed out a record-breaking lap of 130.741mph. The two eventually pulled away from the chasing pack, and in the final two laps it became a straight fight between the two riders.
On the last lap the two made their charge, and by the Ramsey Hairpin the gap was just a slender 1.82 seconds. In the previous three races held that week, Hutchinson had been the quickest over the Mountain, but Farquhar was up for the fight and rode harder than he’d ever done before, making for a nail-biting finale. The final victor won by just 1.32 seconds – their third win that week.
