With an astonishing 23 TT wins and 47 podiums from over 100 starts, he is the third most successful rider in TT history, trailing only Joey Dunlop and Michael Dunlop, as of TT 2023 when Michael overtook him.
McGuinness first competed at the TT in 1996, earning the best newcomer title, and claimed his maiden victory in the 1999 Lightweight 250cc race and has since excelled across multiple classes, achieving wins in all classes and became the first rider to lap the 37.73-mile Mountain Course at an average speed of over 130 mph in 2007.
Despite injuries in recent years, McGuinness remains a highly competitive presence. His enduring connection with Honda Racing UK and record setting pace in 2024 embodies the spirit of road racing at its finest.
