The winning rider of the Lightweight TT Race at the 2013 Isle of Man TT Races, smashed both the lap and race records on the way to taking his maiden TT victory, amazingly breaking the old lap record on each of the three laps.
Dean Harrison and James Hillier were locked in a titanic battle throughout the race, swapping the lead position several times. Although Harrison initially led, Hillier quickly seized the lead with a strong opening lap. Meanwhile, Ivan Lintin and Manxman, Conor Cummins battled it out for third throughout.
By the halfway point Lintin had leapt to first, but Hillier was setting a ferocious pace, eating into his advantage mile by mile.
As the race drew to a close, Hillier and Harrison were now back in the ring, fighting for the winner’s podium right until the very end. As the riders flashed over the finishing line, the winner duly took home his first ever TT win, with second place taking his debut place in a TT rostrum.
