This Senior Race was a dramatic one, which saw Dean Harrison and pre-race favourite, Peter Hickman locked in a titanic battle to win the concluding event of the 2019 Isle of Man TT Races.
Hickman initially led from Harrison, but as expected, it was close with a gap of just 0.3 seconds. The duo were racing that hard they’d already opened up a near six second advantage over third placed Conor Cummins.
As the race progressed Harrison managed to nudge ahead - for the lead to be quickly taken back by Hickman, who put in a staggering opening lap of 134.284mph – the fastest lap of the race and the meeting.
As the race wore on, Cummins maintained his third from Michael Dunlop. However, there was a significant change at the top, with Hickman’s lead over Harrison significantly dropping– suddenly making this either of the two riders’ victory to take.
The triumphant winner duly took home his third TT win, meanwhile another superb performance came from Davey Todd who finished in sixth, setting a personal best lap of 131mph+ in just his second year at the TT.
