The rider of the week, Ian Hutchinson, charged at pace in this thrilling 2015 Monster Energy Supersport Race. He was up against strong contender Bruce Anstey who had won the Superbike Race earlier that week – keen to take a second win.
James Hillier, who put in one of his best ever Supersport performances was also in the running, alongside Guy Martin who was yet to take a 2015 podium.
In the opening lap Hillier initially led but was soon overtaken by Hutchinson who stole the lead at Ramsey. Anstey shortly moved up to second place as Hillier slipped back further still, now under pressure from Martin who was keen to make his mark following a disappointing few runs.
As the race progressed, Hutchinson continued to extend his lead, but Anstey was up for a fight, going up and down the Mountain quicker. Meanwhile Martin, Hillier and Gary Johnson were contending for third, providing fans with a thrilling spectacle.
The winner came home by an eventual 14.8 second margin, taking his 11th TT victory, with second taking his fourth podium of the week.
