This shortened two-lap Monster Energy Supersport Race at the 2019 Isle of Man TT Races, saw the winner take home his first ever TT win. He won the race by a marginal 3.6 seconds, making for a nail-biting finale.
A two-way battled ensued from the outset, with James Hillier and Lee Johnston flying around the first lap with only a second separating the pair.
However, Peter Hickman who’d won the earlier Superbike Race, was racing up the leader board - moving up from fifth to third in a matter of miles, and only half a second behind the second placed Hillier.
Less than five seconds covered the leading six riders as they flew through the opening lap, with Johnston and Hillier matching each other mile for mile with a staggering gap of just 0.7 seconds.
As the weather turned on lap two, the red flag flew and so the winner swept home to take his maiden TT win.
